Fundamentals of Motor Control Centres
Electrical and Power Engineering|2 days|Classroom or live online
Fundamentals of Motor Control Centres is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through motor control centres and electrical fault analysis without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with cable fault location, transformer maintenance and protection relays in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve cable fault location within their own organisation, measured against IEC standards
- Make a decision about transformer maintenance without waiting for a specialist
- Spot where protection relays is failing before it becomes a finding
- Take ownership of condition monitoring rather than escalating it
