Fundamentals of Service Delivery Planning
Public Sector and Municipal Management|2 days|Classroom or live online
Fundamentals of Service Delivery Planning is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through asset management and supply chain compliance in government without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because audit outcomes have become the dominant measure of municipal performance, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with irregular expenditure, municipal budgeting and council procedure in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring irregular expenditure into line with current good practice, measured against the PFMA
- Explain municipal budgeting to someone who does not do the work
- Put council procedure on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Take ownership of annual reporting rather than escalating it
