Fundamentals of Technical Record Keeping
Laboratory and Quality Management|2 days|Classroom or live online
Fundamentals of Technical Record Keeping is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through supplier qualification and quality management systems without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because an accreditation finding can stop a laboratory trading in a way no other quality failure does, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with technical record keeping, proficiency testing and measurement uncertainty in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put technical record keeping on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against SANAS accreditation requirements
- Bring proficiency testing into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of measurement uncertainty rather than escalating it
- Review root cause analysis and say plainly whether it is working
