Grant and Donor Reporting for Managers
Finance and Accounting|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers internal controls and cash flow forecasting from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because boards increasingly expect finance to explain the business, not only report on it, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with audit readiness, deferred tax and impairment testing in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve audit readiness within their own organisation, measured against GRAP for public entities
- Bring deferred tax into line with current good practice
- Make a decision about impairment testing without waiting for a specialist
- Review consolidation and say plainly whether it is working
