Grant Management in the Public Sector
Public Sector and Municipal Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
Grant Management in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including service delivery planning, grant management and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because service delivery failures usually trace back to planning rather than to budget, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with annual reporting, municipal budgeting and integrated development planning in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve annual reporting within their own organisation, measured against the Municipal Systems Act
- Explain municipal budgeting to someone who does not do the work
- Review integrated development planning and say plainly whether it is working
- Take ownership of revenue management rather than escalating it
