Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Tools and Techniques

Health, Safety and Environment|3 days|Classroom or live online

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through hazard identification and occupational hygiene on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: safety systems are often documented to a standard that daily practice does not match, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with environmental impact assessment, permit to work systems and risk assessment in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Spot where environmental impact assessment is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Construction Regulations
  • Review permit to work systems and say plainly whether it is working
  • Take ownership of risk assessment rather than escalating it
  • Make a decision about waste management without waiting for a specialist
