High Voltage Operation Auditing and Assurance

3 days|Delivered on request

This programme is written from the assurance side. Delegates learn to test whether load flow analysis and power factor correction are working as claimed, and how to evidence the conclusion. Assurance work is under scrutiny because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with switchgear maintenance, substation operation and transformer maintenance in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Put switchgear maintenance on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Bring substation operation into line with current good practice
  • Improve transformer maintenance within their own organisation
  • Explain electrical fault analysis to someone who does not do the work

What the course covers

  • Load flow analysis
  • Power factor correction
