High Voltage Operation for Small and Medium Enterprises

Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online

High Voltage Operation for Small and Medium Enterprises takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including load flow analysis, substation operation and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with power factor correction, condition monitoring and arc flash assessment in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review power factor correction and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Spot where condition monitoring is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Take ownership of arc flash assessment rather than escalating it
  • Explain circuit breaker operation to someone who does not do the work
