HR Policy Writing for Non-Specialists

Human Resources|2 days|Classroom or live online

HR Policy Writing for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through grievance handling and HR analytics without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because labour relations exposure now sits alongside financial risk on most executive agendas, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with employment equity reporting, psychometric assessment and remuneration and benefits in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review employment equity reporting and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the Skills Development Act
  • Explain psychometric assessment to someone who does not do the work
  • Make a decision about remuneration and benefits without waiting for a specialist
  • Take ownership of succession planning rather than escalating it
