Instrumentation and Control for Managers
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers condition monitoring and substation operation from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with insulation testing, arc flash assessment and variable speed drives in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring insulation testing into line with current good practice, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Improve arc flash assessment within their own organisation
- Take ownership of variable speed drives rather than escalating it
- Explain protection relays to someone who does not do the work
