Instrumentation and Control in the Public Sector

Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online

Instrumentation and Control in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including standby generation, lockout and tagout and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with condition monitoring, switchgear maintenance and transformer maintenance in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Spot where condition monitoring is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against IEC standards
  • Review switchgear maintenance and say plainly whether it is working
  • Improve transformer maintenance within their own organisation
  • Take ownership of electrical safety procedure rather than escalating it
