This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into electrical fault analysis, electrical safety procedure and the judgement calls that sit outside the Occupational Health and Safety Act. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with arc flash assessment, power factor correction and condition monitoring in their own organisation.

- Review arc flash assessment and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Put power factor correction on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
