Insurance and Risk Transfer: Tools and Techniques

Risk and Compliance|3 days|Classroom or live online

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through control design and risk assessment methodology on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: compliance obligations have multiplied faster than compliance capacity, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with third party risk, key risk indicators and risk appetite and tolerance in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review third party risk and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the three lines model
  • Make a decision about key risk indicators without waiting for a specialist
  • Spot where risk appetite and tolerance is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Take ownership of risk reporting to the board rather than escalating it
