Integrated Development Planning: Tools and Techniques
Public Sector and Municipal Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through consequence management and asset management on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: officials are held personally accountable under legislation many have never been trained on, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with municipal budgeting, ethics in the public service and supply chain compliance in government in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of municipal budgeting rather than escalating it, measured against the MFMA
- Put ethics in the public service on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Review supply chain compliance in government and say plainly whether it is working
- Make a decision about performance management in government without waiting for a specialist
