Irregular Expenditure Management Reporting and Analytics
Public Sector and Municipal Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
Irregular Expenditure Management Reporting and Analytics focuses on the measurement layer: what to count, what it means and how to present it. Delegates work through asset management and performance management in government and the reporting built on top of them. The reporting layer matters because service delivery failures usually trace back to planning rather than to budget. Delegates leave able to work confidently with public finance management, public participation and annual reporting in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain public finance management to someone who does not do the work, measured against the Municipal Systems Act
- Put public participation on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Spot where annual reporting is failing before it becomes a finding
- Improve consequence management within their own organisation
