Laboratory Safety for Non-Specialists
Laboratory and Quality Management|2 days|Classroom or live online
Laboratory Safety for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through sample handling and chain of custody and laboratory safety without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because an accreditation finding can stop a laboratory trading in a way no other quality failure does, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with laboratory design, supplier qualification and equipment calibration in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put laboratory design on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against good laboratory practice
- Explain supplier qualification to someone who does not do the work
- Take ownership of equipment calibration rather than escalating it
- Make a decision about method validation without waiting for a specialist
