Laboratory Safety for Small and Medium Enterprises

Laboratory and Quality Management|3 days|Classroom or live online

Laboratory Safety for Small and Medium Enterprises takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including sample handling and chain of custody, measurement uncertainty and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because quality managers are often appointed from the bench without management training, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with equipment calibration, reagent management and laboratory design in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Make a decision about equipment calibration without waiting for a specialist, measured against good laboratory practice
  • Explain reagent management to someone who does not do the work
  • Bring laboratory design into line with current good practice
  • Spot where laboratory safety is failing before it becomes a finding
