Leading Arc Flash Safety Teams
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers power factor correction and electrical fault analysis from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with standby generation, transformer maintenance and lockout and tagout in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve standby generation within their own organisation, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
- Explain transformer maintenance to someone who does not do the work
- Bring lockout and tagout into line with current good practice
- Put protection relays on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
