Leading Earthing and Bonding Teams
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers transformer maintenance and cable fault location from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with protection relays, electrical fault analysis and earthing and bonding in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review protection relays and say plainly whether it is working, measured against IEC standards
- Put electrical fault analysis on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Bring earthing and bonding into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of circuit breaker operation rather than escalating it
