Leading Electrical Maintenance Planning Teams
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers substation operation and lockout and tagout from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with transformer maintenance, insulation testing and circuit breaker operation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put transformer maintenance on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Explain insulation testing to someone who does not do the work
- Improve circuit breaker operation within their own organisation
- Review load flow analysis and say plainly whether it is working
