Leading Electrical Safety Teams
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers motor control centres and transformer maintenance from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with cable fault location, electrical fault analysis and electrical safety procedure in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring cable fault location into line with current good practice, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Put electrical fault analysis on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Improve electrical safety procedure within their own organisation
- Explain condition monitoring to someone who does not do the work
