Leading Instrumentation and Control Teams
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers power factor correction and standby generation from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with insulation testing, transformer maintenance and load flow analysis in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring insulation testing into line with current good practice, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Explain transformer maintenance to someone who does not do the work
- Make a decision about load flow analysis without waiting for a specialist
- Put arc flash assessment on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
