Leading Standby Power Systems Teams
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers power factor correction and arc flash assessment from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with cable fault location, switchgear maintenance and circuit breaker operation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain cable fault location to someone who does not do the work, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Make a decision about switchgear maintenance without waiting for a specialist
- Spot where circuit breaker operation is failing before it becomes a finding
- Put load flow analysis on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
