Management Accounting in the Public Sector
Finance and Accounting|3 days|Classroom or live online
Management Accounting in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including financial statement preparation, cost allocation and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because reporting standards keep moving and finance teams carry the consequence of getting them wrong, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with capital budgeting, consolidation and audit readiness in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where capital budgeting is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against IFRS for SMEs
- Bring consolidation into line with current good practice
- Explain audit readiness to someone who does not do the work
- Put lease accounting on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
