Managing Battery and UPS Systems
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers switchgear maintenance and condition monitoring from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with substation operation, load flow analysis and motor control centres in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain substation operation to someone who does not do the work, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Review load flow analysis and say plainly whether it is working
- Improve motor control centres within their own organisation
- Take ownership of power factor correction rather than escalating it
