Managing Contract Negotiation
Procurement and Supply Chain|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers contract negotiation and warehouse operations from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because procurement decisions are now audited for process as closely as for price, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with supplier development, strategic sourcing and contract administration in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain supplier development to someone who does not do the work, measured against the CIPS professional standard
- Put strategic sourcing on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Review contract administration and say plainly whether it is working
- Improve supply risk assessment within their own organisation
