Managing Cost Accounting
Finance and Accounting|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers fraud detection and cost allocation from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because boards increasingly expect finance to explain the business, not only report on it, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with working capital management, management accounting and deferred tax in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put working capital management on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against IFRS
- Bring management accounting into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of deferred tax rather than escalating it
- Explain financial statement preparation to someone who does not do the work
