Managing Emergency Preparedness
Health, Safety and Environment|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers safety management systems and waste management from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because incident investigation frequently stops at the immediate cause, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with contractor safety management, emergency preparedness and safety auditing in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review contractor safety management and say plainly whether it is working, measured against ISO 14001
- Make a decision about emergency preparedness without waiting for a specialist
- Spot where safety auditing is failing before it becomes a finding
- Explain legal appointments and duties to someone who does not do the work
