Managing Equipment Calibration
Laboratory and Quality Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers corrective and preventive action and supplier qualification from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because method validation is frequently treated as paperwork rather than as evidence, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with proficiency testing, non-conformance management and sample handling and chain of custody in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve proficiency testing within their own organisation, measured against ISO 17025
- Take ownership of non-conformance management rather than escalating it
- Make a decision about sample handling and chain of custody without waiting for a specialist
- Explain measurement uncertainty to someone who does not do the work
