Managing Financial Due Diligence
Finance and Accounting|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers deferred tax and consolidation from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because boards increasingly expect finance to explain the business, not only report on it, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with financial modelling, revenue recognition and internal controls in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put financial modelling on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against GRAP for public entities
- Review revenue recognition and say plainly whether it is working
- Bring internal controls into line with current good practice
- Make a decision about lease accounting without waiting for a specialist
