Managing Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
Health, Safety and Environment|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers confined space entry and risk assessment from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because environmental obligations are increasingly enforced against named individuals, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with toolbox talks, hazard identification and personal protective equipment in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put toolbox talks on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Make a decision about hazard identification without waiting for a specialist
- Bring personal protective equipment into line with current good practice
- Explain safety management systems to someone who does not do the work
