This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers contractor safety management and emergency preparedness from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because incident investigation frequently stops at the immediate cause, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with personal protective equipment, occupational hygiene and hazard identification in their own organisation.

- Take ownership of personal protective equipment rather than escalating it, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Review occupational hygiene and say plainly whether it is working
