Managing Motor Control Centres
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers insulation testing and load flow analysis from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with electrical safety procedure, arc flash assessment and circuit breaker operation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve electrical safety procedure within their own organisation, measured against IEC standards
- Take ownership of arc flash assessment rather than escalating it
- Review circuit breaker operation and say plainly whether it is working
- Put lockout and tagout on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
