Managing Municipal Infrastructure Grants
Public Sector and Municipal Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers performance management in government and annual reporting from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because officials are held personally accountable under legislation many have never been trained on, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with records management, revenue management and audit action planning in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about records management without waiting for a specialist, measured against the Municipal Systems Act
- Spot where revenue management is failing before it becomes a finding
- Review audit action planning and say plainly whether it is working
- Explain public participation to someone who does not do the work
