Managing Transformer Maintenance

Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online

This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers variable speed drives and circuit breaker operation from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with electrical fault analysis, electrical safety procedure and motor control centres in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Improve electrical fault analysis within their own organisation, measured against IEC standards
  • Review electrical safety procedure and say plainly whether it is working
  • Spot where motor control centres is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Put load flow analysis on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
