Measurement Uncertainty for Non-Specialists

Laboratory and Quality Management|2 days|Classroom or live online

Measurement Uncertainty for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through non-conformance management and quality management systems without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because quality managers are often appointed from the bench without management training, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with method validation, internal auditing and accreditation preparation in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Take ownership of method validation rather than escalating it, measured against ISO 9001
  • Bring internal auditing into line with current good practice
  • Put accreditation preparation on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
  • Spot where root cause analysis is failing before it becomes a finding
