Measurement Uncertainty in the Public Sector

Laboratory and Quality Management|3 days|Classroom or live online

Measurement Uncertainty in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including quality management systems, non-conformance management and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because method validation is frequently treated as paperwork rather than as evidence, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with laboratory design, equipment calibration and reagent management in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review laboratory design and say plainly whether it is working, measured against SANAS accreditation requirements
  • Explain equipment calibration to someone who does not do the work
  • Take ownership of reagent management rather than escalating it
  • Bring sample handling and chain of custody into line with current good practice
