Microbiological Testing in the Public Sector
Laboratory and Quality Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
Microbiological Testing in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including quality management systems, sample handling and chain of custody and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because quality managers are often appointed from the bench without management training, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with equipment calibration, root cause analysis and accreditation preparation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring equipment calibration into line with current good practice, measured against SANAS accreditation requirements
- Make a decision about root cause analysis without waiting for a specialist
- Take ownership of accreditation preparation rather than escalating it
- Review reagent management and say plainly whether it is working
