Motor Control Centres Auditing and Assurance
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is written from the assurance side. Delegates learn to test whether variable speed drives and switchgear maintenance are working as claimed, and how to evidence the conclusion. Assurance work is under scrutiny because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with circuit breaker operation, lockout and tagout and substation operation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where circuit breaker operation is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Explain lockout and tagout to someone who does not do the work
- Review substation operation and say plainly whether it is working
- Put motor control centres on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
