Motor Control Centres
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This Motor Control Centres programme gives delegates a working command of arc flash assessment and transformer maintenance, grounded in the SANS wiring code. Organisations invest here because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with variable speed drives, insulation testing and cable fault location in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of variable speed drives rather than escalating it, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Make a decision about insulation testing without waiting for a specialist
- Bring cable fault location into line with current good practice
- Review earthing and bonding and say plainly whether it is working
What the course covers
- Arc flash assessment
- Transformer maintenance

- Insulation testing
- Cable fault location
