Municipal Asset Management: Tools and Techniques
Public Sector and Municipal Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through performance management in government and integrated development planning on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: service delivery failures usually trace back to planning rather than to budget, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with service delivery planning, supply chain compliance in government and audit action planning in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review service delivery planning and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the Batho Pele principles
- Bring supply chain compliance in government into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of audit action planning rather than escalating it
- Make a decision about revenue management without waiting for a specialist
