Occupational Health and Safety in the Public Sector
Health, Safety and Environment|3 days|Classroom or live online
Occupational Health and Safety in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including root cause analysis, toolbox talks and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because safety systems are often documented to a standard that daily practice does not match, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with environmental impact assessment, legal appointments and duties and permit to work systems in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about environmental impact assessment without waiting for a specialist, measured against the Construction Regulations
- Improve legal appointments and duties within their own organisation
- Take ownership of permit to work systems rather than escalating it
- Spot where waste management is failing before it becomes a finding
