Occupational Hygiene in the Public Sector

Health, Safety and Environment|3 days|Classroom or live online

Occupational Hygiene in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including legal appointments and duties, hazard identification and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because incident investigation frequently stops at the immediate cause, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with waste management, incident investigation and emergency preparedness in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Put waste management on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Construction Regulations
  • Take ownership of incident investigation rather than escalating it
  • Bring emergency preparedness into line with current good practice
  • Make a decision about safety auditing without waiting for a specialist
