Operational Risk for Managers
Risk and Compliance|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers internal audit interface and business continuity planning from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because risk registers are widely maintained and rarely used in an actual decision, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with risk reporting to the board, risk appetite and tolerance and risk culture in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put risk reporting to the board on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against COSO ERM
- Improve risk appetite and tolerance within their own organisation
- Bring risk culture into line with current good practice
- Review risk identification and say plainly whether it is working
