Permit to Work Systems for Non-Specialists
Health, Safety and Environment|2 days|Classroom or live online
Permit to Work Systems for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through emergency preparedness and safety culture without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because safety systems are often documented to a standard that daily practice does not match, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with personal protective equipment, incident investigation and toolbox talks in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put personal protective equipment on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Construction Regulations
- Take ownership of incident investigation rather than escalating it
- Spot where toolbox talks is failing before it becomes a finding
- Explain root cause analysis to someone who does not do the work
