Power BI in the Public Sector
Data and Business Intelligence|3 days|Classroom or live online
Power BI in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including data quality management, data modelling and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because reporting effort scales badly when the underlying model is wrong, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with visual encoding choices, spreadsheet controls and data warehouse concepts in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain visual encoding choices to someone who does not do the work, measured against recognised data governance frameworks
- Bring spreadsheet controls into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of data warehouse concepts rather than escalating it
- Spot where statistical fundamentals is failing before it becomes a finding
