Power Factor Correction in the Public Sector
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
Power Factor Correction in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including standby generation, power factor correction and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with electrical safety procedure, insulation testing and substation operation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put electrical safety procedure on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Make a decision about insulation testing without waiting for a specialist
- Spot where substation operation is failing before it becomes a finding
- Improve circuit breaker operation within their own organisation
