Practical Arc Flash Safety

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through condition monitoring and transformer maintenance on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with circuit breaker operation, motor control centres and electrical safety procedure in their own organisation.

  • Explain circuit breaker operation to someone who does not do the work, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
  • Take ownership of motor control centres rather than escalating it
  • Improve electrical safety procedure within their own organisation
  • Put electrical fault analysis on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
