Practical Condition Monitoring
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through lockout and tagout and earthing and bonding on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with protection relays, motor control centres and arc flash assessment in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about protection relays without waiting for a specialist, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
- Improve motor control centres within their own organisation
- Bring arc flash assessment into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of standby generation rather than escalating it
