Practical Employment Law

3 days|Delivered on request

This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through data protection under POPIA and arbitration and mediation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: regulators have moved from guidance to enforcement across several sectors, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with service level agreements, contract drafting and employment law in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Make a decision about service level agreements without waiting for a specialist, measured against established contract law principles
  • Explain contract drafting to someone who does not do the work
  • Improve employment law within their own organisation
  • Take ownership of company secretarial practice rather than escalating it
